  • The tinkopolipse 1.5, a remake of a text based RPG

    (now with 100% more sans*)
    *= this game has nothing to do with undertale. He's just there to play his trombone, run a shop and maybe teach you a few spells later

    current objective: investigate the mountains




    On a small... Ish island not too far from Etheralia. (Ok the island is somewhat larger than Etheralia but heh, I don't have a name for it) Chaos has broken out. Sentient robotic faries have been running rampant. Due to their resembleance to Tinkerbell, they have been become known as tinks. And they are spreading rapidly. And getting stronger,

    You are a budding adventuer who wishes to put a stop to this... 'tinkopolipse'

    (NOTE: This is a remake of my original tinkopolipse game on the archive fourms. as such it is not possible to import your old character, sorry guys)

    rules:


    1. My decisions are final
    2. Normal fourm rules apply.
    3. Do not godmod
    4. Be aware I tend to make things up as I go along but there's still a set objective of the game
    5. Crafting is pretty open ended. Let me know what you want, and I'll name the costs
    6. In battle, you may make one action per turn
    More rules will be added as we go!



    elements:

    Fire: allows you to sometimes set an enemy on fire with magic dealing extra damage for 5 turns, strong on ice, weak on water,

    Water: you can breath underwater indefinitely and are immune to being set on fire,
    Strong on Fire, weak to Ice

    Ice: your magic attacks can freeze foes for a turn,
    Strong against water, weak against Fire.*

    Electric: your magic attacks can paralyse a foe which can make them miss turns, this effect lasts 3 turns and has a 20% chance of making your opponent *miss their turn each turn,
    Strong on air, weak on earth,

    Air: let's you fly if your class does not allow it and can use magic to slow enemies down and knock attacks off corse:
    Strong on earth, weak to electric

    Earth: *makes you immune to electrical attacks and you can stun opponents with magic,
    Strong on Electric, weak to air

    Description: She's 17 years old, and generally keeps to herself. She doesn't even speak unless she absolutely has to, and rarely, if ever, vocalizes in battle, choosing to communicate via sign language and/or writing. One of the only things she even says about her past was that she had training in swordsmanship and using throwing knives. Unfortunately, her refusal to communicate with her voice leaves her quite out of the loop when it comes to battle, at best being incredibly passive and following others, and at worst charging into situations she probably would not survive.

    Name: Taurhoavir AKA Nyx (The former is a gibberish name thrown together by the source code, and the latter is what they prefer to be called)

    Description: Nyx is, quite simply, a well-done mess. Designed through what can only be described as "throwing stuff at the board and seeing what sticks", this robot was hastily put together, but had enough attention given to get it up and running without any problems. Come the Tinkopolipse, Nyx took up arms, and a lot of them; it's preferred method of dealing with a foe involves overwhelming them with offensive ability. Nyx does have to find the right opportunity to let loose with a barrage, it would be illogical to be gung-ho in the matter.

        a small underground community that is trying to get back top the surface in a relativly tink free zone,

        down here is a small town with basic shops, a lab and several tunnels

        This mine is rich in resources, but full of tinks as well, dig down lower to discover it's secrets,

        You need a bronze pickace to open the path to level 2


        level 2:

        contains everything on level 1, but has more iron ore and some steel ore. watch out for medium bronze and iron tinks as well as steel tinks.

        An abandoned village that houses the tunnel the heros used to reach the surface, is mostly empty due to a tink raid

        flower medow:


        A tranquil medow. Faries can be found here and traded with. The dew from the flowers can be used to make potions, travelling through this medow leads to Cragrock town.

        A small forest. Watch out for goblins and gobby goblins as well as tinks, getting through the forest allows you to reach Westport







        cragrock:

        a mountainous town, contains many small mines, some with rare resources
        cragrock mountains:

        a rugged trail, currently unexplored

        A mysterious swordsman, keeps his eyes hidden and wears a woodland cloak, he cannot be defeated but you can earn EXP if you find and challenge him. He does not always want to fight though. Can clone himself in case he wishes to interact with more than one player.

          event rules:


          you may enter on your own or in a team

          once in the dark portal you will need to select a difficulty, each difficulty has set encounters for individuals and teams.

          once you choose a difficulty and enter it's portal you must compleat the run, quit or die in order to change difficulty or return to the main game.

          rewards for each round can only be obtained once per player.

          if you are in a challenge when the event period ends, you will be allowed to finish your run.





          dream world mechanics:


          1. you have a set number of turns in the dream world, but can leave early whenever you wish,

          2. You are stronger in the dream world and cannot die, but don't earn as many coins or exp points, running out of HP will wake you early

          3. you cannot dismantle tinks in the dream world,

          4. some locations in the overworld can only be discovered by venturing in the dream world

          5. more mechanics will be added

Unfortunately, her refusal to communicate with her voice leaves her quite out of the loop when it comes to battle, at best being incredibly passive and following others, and at worst charging into situations she probably would not survive.

                          All: you spawn in a large city in the middle of a fight against the tinks, however your unit(s) (just in case you spawned in different locations to each other) is quickly being overwhealmed by a massive swarm of tink forcing everyone to retreat. Some people runinto the swarm but most run away. After a good couple of minuets running you see a bloon beckoning to you. Most oof your unit gets consumed by the tink swarm due to fatiuge setting in. You decided to follow the bloon as any fate they could have in store is most likely better than death. The bloon leads you into a somewhat large underground bunkeer. It is here you all meet eachother propery for the first time.


                          Bloons: "Thank goodness we got you down here. feel free to speak amoung yourselfs for a bit. Our commander will be here shortly to breif you on what's going on and offer basic training."

                          (I have based your starting equipments on your signups, if there is something wrong, do let me know, you'll gain acess to better stuff later in the game)

                          BloonofSteel ninja'd and i'm almost at the bus stop (i have wi fi on the bus) will try to add, for now, you ar in the bunker with the others after narrowly escaping a tink swarm

                            I decide to... I don't know, wait around. Maybe sit down for a bit.

                            That swarm was terrifying. We could have probably taken on a smaller group, but they were like locusts. We couldn't fight them without a massive area-of-effect attack.

                              BloonofSteel : you think to yourself. As you look around, the bunker seems oddly familiar but at the same time, it seems larger than you remember. You're also not sure where the commemorative tink statuet in your pocket came from.
