  • [RPG] Super Power Mayhem

    Story:
    Spoiler:
Welcome to Super Power Mayhem, a world where everyone gets a super power! For generations there were people who devoted themselves to protect this world, they were know as "Heroes".
The problem is... There are no more Heroes. For ages they were rivaled by the evil force of the "Villains", the Heroes prevailed in most battles, but then... A Villain with power greater that any other was born, he destroyed the order of Heroes, those who survived went in hiding, in hope that some day, someone would rise up to the challenge.

    Lore:
    Spoiler:
    The Heroes:
    Spoiler:
The Heroes are extinct. Once a great force in society, they failed to defeat an unstoppable evil, and those who survived either came into hiding or joined the Resistance. The greatest of Heroes were known for holding extraordinary powers, some of which includes: Dream absorption, metamorphosis, time reversion and telekinesis.

    The Villains:
    Spoiler:
Long time rival of the Heroes, they always fought with the dream of ruling the world, their dream came true when the "Master of Villains" destroyed the Heroes, and now they've brought chaos to the world. Over 90% of the world is taken by this terrifying power, the few country's that still stand are under siege. Not much is know about the "Master of Villains", but some Villains also gathered fame due to their terrifying powers, they may include: Instant construction, invulnerability, localization and imprisoning,

    The Resistance:
    Spoiler:
Even with Heroes gone, a world where everyone has a power isn't easy to takeover, those who believe their powers are strong join the resistance to fight this evil, they might not be as strong as heroes were, but with the strongest of the Villains busy with their own stuff, the Resistance... Stand a chance. "We will fight, we will grow, and we will show them even an ant can destroy an elephant." -Rose Mayers, a member of the resistance with the ability to predict the far future.

    Powers:
    Spoiler:
In this world, every human has an unique power. Powers can be separated into four different categories:

Enchantment: This type of power is able to make you, or others more capable in some way. It can range from making your eyesight better or hardening your body.

Transformation: It's the power to change your body as your like, some transformations can be permanent, this is know as "forming disease", transformations vary from transforming your limbs into weapons, to fully transforming yourself in a lion.

Control: Controllers are those who can manipulate substances, the most common type of control is elemental control, a power that allows users to control elements such as fire and water, but there is also advanced control types such as time or space.

Activation: Active powers require a condition to work, normally the harder to archive this condition, the stronger your power is. Activation powers are the most common, and everything that don't fall in other categories is an active power.

Powers can be improved via training or even though medicine, most humans only 35% of their potential, trained humans can get to use 50%, to reach further another techniques are required (such as medicine and specific powers).

    How to play:
    Spoiler:
SPM is a simple game, YOU are a human with super powers, it can be anything, from controlling the elements to transforming yourself into a mutant, just make sure it isn't something OP (for reference, a balanced power would be stopping time for 1 second). Once you have created your character you have to learn about combat, if you encounter an enemy and decide to fight him, you will have to take a combat action, to do so, just type an action that you character can complete in 6 second or less, depending on how creative it is, I will say how much damage you did, it could be very effective (severely damaging your opponent) or very weak (causing no damage at all), once your opponent can't fight anymore, you win the battle!
Now finally let's talk about your objective, for what you read about the story you might think you have to defeat this "Villain", however this isn't necessarily true, you don't begin as a "Fated Hero" but as a "Guy with powers", so you will decide your fate, be it to save the world, or help to destroy it.

    Spoiler:
    Name:
    Power:
Appearance: (You are a human, but depending of your power, you don't need to look like one)
Personality: (How your character acts. Can also include basic bio)

    Spawn:
    Spoiler:
You will spawn in Utaria, a large city ruined by crimes, there is no law, but few people still resist against the Villain oppression and are friendly towards commoners (remember, everyone has a power, be it small or big)

Gaviel: Oh... So you just did this.... Hehe, I will find a way to bypass your security system!

    BloonofSteel
    Spoiler:
    Name: Steele "Mae" Erkens
Power: Can turn into a cat mutant (speed and strength being a little bit below Batman (not sure if he'd be considered OP) and also something about climbing things better I guess)
Appearance: A biologically male teenager with a checkered, black and red hoodie, black pants, dark hair and grey eyes. Their cat mutant form has red eyes and dark blue fur, and they pad their clothes for a more feminine appearance at that point
Personality: Though they don't particularly dislike the Heroes, Steele ultimately wants to defeat the Villains and maybe gain a sweet reward. Though they're noticeably self-centric when it comes to discussing long term plans, they latch onto whatever friends and relationships they can get, even going as far to change their entire plans to revolve around them.

They also moonlight as a vigilante with the whole "cat mutant" schtick, who presents as the opposite gender, partially to avoid attention, and partially because crossdressing was a legitimate hobby of theirs.

    Dr Lord Evilstein
    Spoiler:
    Name: Joel Clarke
Power: Able to see up to roughly five minutes into the most likely future
Appearance: Joel wears a nice dark blue suit (which he got from abusing his powers at casinos) and black track bottoms. His hair is styled in a fauxhawk, he has green eyes, and he never takes off his aviator shades because the reflections in his eyes show the future, which will get his powers found out, or at least he used to but in this lawless city they're just there to look cool.
Personality: Joel doesn't like taking risks, so he rarely takes part in things that he can't forsee going right. He's bad at social interactions and usually makes jokes at the worst of times. He doesn't have much of a moral compass and is only trying to kill off the villains because he wants to gain more power.

    Edwardtruong2006
    Spoiler:
    Name: Gaye Merr
Power: Can channel the superpower of literally any random character in pop culture, the issue is, it's RANDOM. Or well, of your choice. The superpower lasts for an hour and has a half an hour cooldown.
Appearance: Messy hair, sports jacket, blue eyes, glowing hands. Pretty normal looking
Personality: He is usually nice and slightly carefree. He also usually thinks his plans are right, only occasionally double checking. Which has lead to many screwups in the past. Also, he loves video games.

    Mk 214 EX
    Spoiler:
    Name: Cecil Meiya
Power: Has access to the Aethergate, a mysterious pocket dimension containing Aethernium, a substance native to it. Aethernium can mold into any substance, even those not normally subject to the ordinary laws of physics. However, there is a limit to how much Aethernium Cecil can pull out of the Aethergate at a time.
Appearance: Has blond hair and green eyes, wears a variety of uniforms. Hair can turn white when using the Aethergate a lot. Possesses a brand on his hand that glows when the Aethergate is active.
Personality: Generally wants to be a good guy, inspired by media heroes.

    goldthunderbird999
    Spoiler:
    Name: Gold Auros
Power: Reset Switch - Gold can travel 10 seconds into the past. Only 10 seconds, and he can't use the power again while in the past. However, he can iterate the same past 10 seconds over and over and over again until he gets the exact outcome he wants. Exceptionally useful in combat, as he can manipulate outcomes very well. He also reflexively triggers his power when in great pain, allowing him to save himself... however, the power's limited scope means that there is only so much Gold can change.
Appearance: Casually dressed young adult with dark hair and dark brown eyes. Wears a locket which he always keeps closed.
Personality: Friendly, charming, and outgoing. Sometimes a bit overconfident due to the nature of his power.

    big guy
    Spoiler:
    Name: Mack Fredericks
Power: Can summon/control owls. Like, a lot of owls. Also has some owl-related abilities, specifically the ability to move in extreme silence, as well as enhanced hearing/sight.
Appearance: Brown hair, brown eyes. Clean cut appearance overall.
Personality: Outgoing and reckless, also very solitary. Really likes his owls, is only "alright" with humans.

    Telaxius
    Spoiler:
    Name: Sehkmanaa
Power: Is able to transform any piece of wood into a snake. The size of the snake is proportionate to the size of the piece of wood that it previously was. The snakes that are created follow Sehkmanaa's orders.
Appearance: Sehkmanaa wears a very generic red wizard costume. He wears thick gloves, and carries around a staff.
Personality: Sehkmanaa is very uncharismatic and awkward, however he is very good with animals. He is also somewhat cowardly, but often dreams of being popular and heroic. He takes up woodworking in his spare time.

    BDDPPP
    Spoiler:
Name: Jones Z. Red (Goes by Red)
Power: The ability to create physical things using holograms
Appearance: A kid with medium hair that goes over one eye and glasses. He has a strange round badge with the letter Omega on it in gold.
Personality: Red is an introverted, intelligent child. He was given the Universe Badge, source of his powers, after showing kindness to aliens, proving that not all humans are bad. It began being able to create really powerful holograms, but it was significantly weakened in a Villain attack, and he sets out to repair it.

You suddenly realize you were wasting your time by sitting in that weird destroyed monument, you get up and observe your surroundings, as usual you can only see destroyed buildings and can only listen a deadly silence.
        What should you do?

After walking for a while, you notice a convenience store, that for some reason, is not silent as the others. You hear muttering as if there were people in it, what an absurd idea right? People don't hide in convenience stores. What do you do?

As expected, you can now hear a clear conversation, while you look at the empty shelves, you hear things like "He is coming" and "I think he is friendly".

You can feel the sudden shock from the other side of the store, as if they really though you couldn't hear them. So one of them breathes in, filled with courage and stand up from under the counter.

Saoy: My name is Alice Saoy, state your name and power or I will be forced to attack you!

The girl is a high school student... Or was before the Villain attack, she would be quite intimidating if she wasn't way shorter that you, her clothes are extremely dirty, her brown, long hair is poorly warped, her blue eyes reflect the obvious pressure and responsibility of protecting her friend. She starts sweating, what do you do?
